" There is a sacredness in tears.
They are not the mark of weakness, but of power.
They speak more eloquently than then thousand tongues.
They are messengers of overwhelming grief and unspeakable love. "
~ Washington Irving ~
For individuals who:
- are weeks to days away from passing
What you will experience:
During this middle phase, the physical body begins to decline in ways that have not been recognized thus far. I will explain and support you and your loved ones each step of the way, as this can be the most difficult of phases to witness. Dying is a natural process and should be treated with love and care, letting it happen as it's been created to transpire. If you know what to expect before it actually happens, it has potential to make this experience less traumatic.
During this phase, all of the things that we have been creating in phase one come to fruition. The vigil becomes active at the bedside, the legacy component continues to be present, guided imagery is a wonderful tool that brings peace and understanding and providing respite time for your loved ones is extremely important. Having had the privilege of being present for dozens of deaths, I will be there to hold your hand and those of your loved ones long after your last breath.

The last moments:
Love doesn't end with the last breath, it only transforms itself into grief. That grief will be a lifelong journey that your loved ones will carry, some days harder than others, but it is never to be taken lightly and should never have an expiration date. Rushing ones healing only prolongs it and complicated/compounded grief can create harm in one's spirit and well-being. I am committed to assisting you and your loved ones through this active phase known as transition. The time where the physical body shuts down but the spirit continues to live on forever in the hearts of your loved ones.
