" It is humbling to be the recipient of a person's life story, to listen to the lessons they have learned, the blessings they wish to convey, and the legacy they wish to leave behind. "

What you will experience:
During this initial phase of collecting information about where you are in your mindset and hearing where you would like to be moving forward, we will discover and recognize how sacred the dying process can be. Just as being born into this world is such a treasured experience, so can leaving this world with peace and grace knowing you have choices to have it your way.
Through various creative options of discussing and unraveling your life's meaning, we can summarize the past, present, and future. We will see how legacy and vigil planning can give you a sense of empowerment when so much of your independence has been altered. We will explore a variety of ways to make these conversations more manageable throughout our time together.
How it works:
You are the driver of this vehicle called end of life care. If you wish to incorporate Hospice or Palliative care as another resource of assistance throughout your journey, I can assist you with those calls and insight. Working with them can be of benefit to you and your family, as it truly takes a village to manage all of the needs required through your journey. You may guide our visits by choosing what you want to either talk about or actively work on, based on how you're feeling that day.
We will discuss how healing is possible and work through any life difficulties that may be blocking you from being at peace. One day at a time, one visit at a time, and one breath at a time is where we will start and where we will finish. I will honor where you are both spiritually and culturally, as the doula approach is client centered not specifically faith based. I am honored to be a part of your journey and will do everything I can to make the things that are most important to you happen.
